Baptized!!

One week ago Aidan and Finley were baptized!!  {I hadn't blogged sooner because I had to edit them...and they are still WAY BAD photos...totally my fault...need to learn my Manual setting better:(}

Anyways, we were so blessed to have family AND friends join us for this awesome day!!  Unfortunately I did not get a pic of Jacob, Stephanie and little Makayla!  Thanks for coming to celebrate such an important day!!

The Group...
Memaw and Papaw
Grandma, Grandpa {yes...that is my REAL dad...yes, he thinks he's funny!} and Gaga
Aidan being introduced to the church...he moved so fast and my camera moved too slow to catch the dunking!!! Ha!  {Youth Pastor, Dale Mason, conducted the baptisms.}

Finley being introduced and preparing to be dunked!!

I was just a bundle of emotions...knowing that my boys have asked Jesus into their hearts and we will one day spend eternity together was just too much to hold in...and those tears just flowed!!

Amen and hallelujah!!!

Kindergarten Round Up!!

Tuesday was Kinder registration AND round up that evening!!  Busy busy day!  It could have been VERY emotional for me...but I was distracted with the kids and work.  ;)  Anyways, B was SUPER excited...can you tell??

The crew....big ole bunch of goofballs...

Apparently they {the Kinder teachers} were going to grill my baby girl!!!  I told Joey if I had known, I would have given her a refresher before we got there!! Ha!!

Bye baby girl...off she goes down the BIG hallway looking all BIG herself...sniff, sniff....

During this time the boys and I went to a parent meeting about what to expect for the coming year.  Approximately 3 minutes into the quiet discussion Owen announces he must poop!!  For real?!  I sent Aidan to take him...of course Finley suddenly had to go!  So I had 10 15 minutes of peace....all the while worrying if my boys were either running the halls or sitting in the principals office for playing in the bathroom!!  Luckily they returned and my heart rate slowed down!! ;)

After they met with the teachers the kids came to the gym to play!  She had a blast!!

Our mascot is the owl...

I cannot believe my baby girl is about to be a kindergartner!!  It makes me excited, proud, uncontrollably teary, happy that she wants to go, sad that she will be exposed to mean girls, worried that I haven't done enough for her, confident that she knows her worth comes from God....I am a bit emotional about the whole situation!!  ;)

Breslyn Claire - Class of 2026!!

Wizard of Oz Party Part I {ZOO}

Wednesday we celebrated Breslyn's "Wizard of Oz" 5th birthday at the Fort Worth Zoo...this is the first of a couple of parties...after all turning 5 is a REALLY big deal!!! ;)

I think B had a GREAT time! {Minus being the third wheel at her own party...:(...it broke my heart a lot little when she wasn't a part of the hand holding/arm in arm/neck hugging that went on.  The other two little girls are precious, and well-behaved, and probably closer friends...so I understand why B was the third wheel...but it still made me sad.}

I was so lucky to have Gaga join us...I know it meant a lot to Bres!  Thanks mom!

Here are a few pics from the fun day!!

Tatum, Breslyn and Karington....

Can you see their little headbands I posted about earlier?  Tatum is a bear, B is a lion (even though she was Dorothy as well) and Karington is a Tiger!!

Time to celebrate....the big #5!!!

She got two great gifts!!  She was in awe of her new Tangled doll...her hair turns colors!!!  So fun!!

Gaga the cart-pusher, stuff holder, fun-maker!!

We rode the little train from the very back of the zoo back to the front.  It felt so great to ride and feel the wind on our faces.  The weather was PERFECT!!!  It could have been so much hotter...and it was just great!  Thank you Lord!

I love you B....and hope you had a wonderful time at the zoo!!
Happy Early Birthday big girl!!!

Pinterest Project Complete!

I found this picture on Pinterest and pinned it 3 weeks ago.

I LOVED IT!  Why?  I don't rightly know...but I do.  I'm not a seamstress, but this heart made of vintage old spools just spoke to me.  I decided to keep my eyes out while junkin!!

Last Sunday {just two weeks after pinning this} I happened upon a GIANT mason jar FULL of old spools!!!  It was meant to be...and it only cost me $10.00!!  {I came across another whopper of a find steal...and I will blog about that another time!!}

So THAT NIGHT I began designing my new heart.  Like so...

I had told my bff, Ashlee, that if I didn't complete this project soon I wanted her to take the spools away from me...I wanted some accountability to finish the project!!!  So last week I finally put the whole project together.  I am happy the way it turned out, and thrilled to have completed at least one Pinterest project!!! ;)

Wizard of Oz Crafts

Well, I guess the crafty bug bit me, because I've completed numerous projects in the last few days....well, technically the last week {but I was pretty sick for a few of those days so they don't count!!}!!  I will break up my projects into different posts so this post isn't too long and boring!!  Teehee!!

First up...This week is Breslyn's birthday party.  Originally my plans were to have ALL the little girls in her class over for a BIG Wizard of Oz party.  We were all going to play our roles and dress up like we did for Halloween...here is a little reminder of that:

We were going to have a BIG breakfast party...donuts, pancakes, waffles...the works!!  But then...yes, then the panic set in.  I was going to have LOTS of little girls in my house who would more likely than not be accompanied by LOTS of mommies.  Nope...not ready for that yet.  So...I struggled for a while for what to do instead.  But my bff came to the rescue (as always) and suggested a "Lions, Tigers and Bears. Oh My" party at the zoo!!  Yep...so perfect!!

So now we are doing that this coming Wednesday.  We only invited 4 little girls and that is just perfect!!  So I came up with these as little party favors:

 {you don't see the dust...no, you don't!!}

I made little blue gingham rosette pins, backed with red burlap.  Then I added an initial button for each little girl {all the materials were bought from Hob Lob}.  I'm pretty happy with how they turned out, and I hope the girls love them!!

Continuing with the theme....I made each of the girls headbands for our journey through the zoo!!  I bought "fur" and hot glued it to headbands...presenting two bears, a lion and a tiger!

 {seriously...if I say there is no dust, there is no dust}

And just for good measure I will leave you with a picture of her invitations that I made!!  I am happy with the way they turned out!!  We are excited for her big day...but can't believe she will soon be 5!!!

We're off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz.....
