Sickie Sunday and Aidan the Usher!

I had to stay home from church today because we have a couple of sickies on our hands!  Owen is running a fever and Finn threw up in the night...UGH!  I'm not feeling super great...I think all that wind yesterday blew in some loveliness that is now stuck in my nose and throat!  Anywho, I wanted to post pics of last Sunday.  It was a kid-centered service...meaning that kids lead us in prayer, took up offering and hung out during the entire service.  I was sad to miss it {Joey and I were upstairs serving in the preschool ministry}.  Aidan was asked to be an usher!!!  So cool!  I was able to take some pics and a video of his experience!

And my video won't post of course!!  Grr.  Oh well...we were so proud of Aidan.  I pray he finds joy in serving others.  I want all my children to desire to help and serve others...to show God's love and kindness.

Photo Dump...Tremaine Stomach Bug

To start this Monday, a picture of the only child going to school!!  Aidan was sick as a dog and Finley had started taking the sickness.  :(  

Walking to the bus stop she noticed our shadows...it was so sweet and so innocent.  It made me happy and sad at the same time.  I love her to pieces!

And since we missed the worship team gathering Sunday (because of the TSB) I made the pumpkin cake just for us!!  It was warm, delicious and made me feel all fall-y!!

Monday night did not go well...two very sick boys and one sick little girl.  Joey and I had discussed that he would stay home from work with the sickies, so I could go to work.  Well at 5:45 when Joey was losing his last few meals, I realized that plan was not going to fly.  I took Owen and Keegan on to school and I got my classroom ready.  They sure looked cute that morning!

But by that afternoon (after having picked Owen up from school) we all just about died.  Joey was in our bed.  Aidan was still in bed.  Finley was on the couch.  Breslyn and Owen took turns laying on me.  Eventually I couldn't take it anymore and went in B's room to lay on her bed.  Owen followed and promptly puked.  We then snuggled up and fell asleep....then at some point B joined us.  All three of us were zonked!

Thursday I finally kicked everyone out of the house...we were all going to school/work whether we felt good or not!  I made B a new hair piece (not a bow...I CAN'T make bows)!!  I love it!

And that afternoon we went to tumbling...she got her new leotard...ain't she precious?!!

Friday the boys and I had to go to Walmart.  Owen decided to go incognito....

Yep...this is how we roll!  

Saturday Joey and I strolled around Southlake Town Center.  There are some amazing stores...and although I cannot remember the name of this cool store...I cannot forget a book I came across!! :O  Really??!!  And it is not one of those "it's a great book once you get past the title" kind of book.  It was bad...inside and out!

And finally I found some TOMS (at the same cool store as the nasty book) that my mom needs when she goes to LONGHORN games!!

And there ya have it...another exciting week.  Ha!

Friday of that week....it was so stinkin hot, so I took Obug and Keegan to ChickfilA to run around!

And of course last minute I decided that my little prop stool needed to be painted...the day before the shoot!!  GAW!!

Saturday was the photo shoot!!!  I love this sweet family...

Afterwards I strolled through Marshalls looking for future props.  I need big baskets and LOTS of blankets!!  

And I might have seen the cutest pair of little girl shoes EVER!!  Can't wait to find out what the bestie is having!!!

Finally Sunday...most of the family stayed home...because of the TSB, but I had to teach kids church.  This is the cuteness that made that day so much better!!

Baby LANDON Turns 1!

I thought I'd share a few pictures from my last photo session.  I love this sweet family!!

I was privileged enough to take Landon's newborn pictures (my first EVER) and to date this is my favorite pic I've EVER taken:

The Stomach Bug...

...is OF.THE.DEVIL.  I have no doubt, the stomach bug should be referred to as Lucifer Jr!

My poor, pathetic, precious family is suffering from this life-sucking disease!!!  Yep, disease...no better way to describe it.

It's not just the pukin' and poopin'....it's the headaches and body aches and CrAnKiNeSs!!  It's the laying around for days yet still not feeling rested.  It's the sleeping for 20 hours only to wake up just as sick as when you fell asleep.  It's the "I've been watching movies 2 days straight...I cannot take another Mickey Mouse Clubhouse episode ever again!!!"  It's the I can't drag myself to the shower to even run water over the stench that is my body.  It's the "I don't care what you eat for              !  Just go pick something out of  the pantry.  Marshmallows?  Fine."  It's the fact that pillows, blankets, sippy cups, gatorade bottles and trash cover the floor in each room.  It's the I had to have a trash can for myself to throw up in...so I stole Finley's thinking he was over it...only for him to throw up all over his floor during the night...and NOT come tell me!!!  It's the desire to JUST.FEEL.BETTER.

I really hate it...and I.am.over.it.

Fall Mantle 2013

Well, it's that time of year....FALL!!  And this weekend it finally felt like fall...at least here in Fort Worth!  I decorated my mantle back on September 4, but I have tweaked it constantly until now!  I finally like the way it looks.  I hope you like it!

And a little comparison from last year...

And there ya have it!  I have determined some things about my "hearth"...the mantle isn't wide/deep enough, I can NEVER get the white clean enough, I don't like how porous it is BUT I love having a fireplace!!  I love that I can change out the decorations on a whim any given afternoon...I love that it holds our family stockings at Christmas...and I LOVE the cozy feeling it brings to our living room every single day!! :)
