Running on Fumes...

Just having one of these days weeks months....

And then I realize I am a Child of God....

...and how many times have I, as HIS child, messed up?  How many have I been sarcastic to my children?  How many times have I been hateful to them?  How many times have I not showed them the love they desperately want but can't ask for?  How many bad habits have I taught them?

How many times am I going to run in my closet to cry over my children screaming at each other?
How many times will I scream my point at them?
How many times will it take...before I get this:

Every.day.is.hard.  And at least once a day I want to scream that this life is too much...too much for my little puny human brain to understand.  But luckily for me I don't have to understand it all...that's God's job.  I just need to continuously be in prayer for wisdom, grace and peace.  Then maybe this life won't be quite so hard. ;)

Photo Dump...Week of June 23

This week I painted A LOT!  Between that and playing with the kids, that's all that happened!!

Monday this little man was so tired after missing nap.  He fell asleep on the couch and slept right through dinner!!

I think at this point I realized I had not taken a picture of my summer mantle...so here it is!! Ha!

Tuesday...more Monopoly!!!

Wednesday Workout...resting and getting a big hug from my little encourager...who hugged me sweat and all!!

Wednesday afternoon a huge storm rolled in and we all gathered on my bed and watched Mickey Mouse till it passed!!  This is the life!!

After the kids went to bed Wed night I prepared a prop for a photo shoot the next day!  And I'm so glad I took the time to do it, because it was used in my favorite photo from the shoot!

Thursday morning the kids hung out at mom and dad's while I took pictures!

After the photo shoot the kids and I had lunch at Rosa's (pardon the cranky kiddo) and then hit up Hob Lob!!  Look at the Fall and Christmas goodies!!!  YAY! YAY! YAY!!

Friday...MORE painting!!  Each time I get another section done I get excited to see the final result!

Saturday we had a super fun birthday party to go to.  The kids loved all the cool things to do inside this party place....cars to ride, multiple "stores" like this one, a salon, firehouse, police station and a HUGE bounce house area!!

Owen, Breslyn and the birthday girl!!

It was of course a FROZEN party!!  Happy Birthday Journi!!!

Another great week down!!

Baby Landri

Just thought I would share a few of pictures from my most recent photo shoot.  Precious Landri!  She was a preemie, but was quite the fighter!  She's happy and healthy now!

Awards

I'm a little behind on some events because my computer jacked with the dates I forgot.  So I'm playing catch up!!  Back in May the kids had Awards Night for Gopher Buddies and Olympians.  If you remember Awanas (and I believe they still do that at some churches), this is just another version of that.

These are the Gopher Buddies...age 3-Kinder.  They sang for us and it was precious!

And then on to the Olympians...1st-5th grade.  Finley received a bronze medal!  He was very proud of his "real" medal and wore it for days after!!

At the end our pastor spoke about all the kids who had asked Jesus into their heart this year...and since B had just made that decision 3 days earlier, he called her up on the stage to talk about it!!  I just love our pastor and his heart for our kids.  He is a great man with a great heart.

Crazy group of kiddos...but they sure are cute!! Special thanks to the awesome adults who work with them every Wednesday!

Proud of these little stinkers!!  :))

Breslyn's Frozen Party...Happy 6th!!

B's 6th birthday theme was Frozen...and we had so much fun!!  Her party was held at Van Grow Art Studio.  We had our own personal teacher and lots of crafts to do...but the best part was watching the girls try to paint Elsa!!

B and Julien...

They made crowns, beaded necklaces and had coloring sheets to choose from!

This was our FIRST class party!  I admit I was nervous.  With family parties the pressure isn't there because they WILL be there, but friends don't always RSVP or come at all.  I was so happy almost all of the girls from her class came!

Olivia (on the right) and her twin sister...

Sydney...

And of course the girls in our family came as well!!  Memaw, Grandma and Gaga...

Evelyn and Amaya...

Ready to paint!!!

I just LOVE LOVE LOVE this picture of my Breslyn!  So beautiful!

Their teacher!

B's adaptation of Elsa....pretty great I say!!

Time for cake and presents!!

And their finished works of art!  Great job girls...and HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRESLYN!!
