Ashlee's Baby Shower!!!

It finally came!!  My bestie's baby shower!!  Yay!!  I co-hosted with one of our mutual friends, Traci!  She is awesome and so generous to have offered up her home for shower!  Just wanted to share a few pictures from Saturday...her theme was pink and red vintage (with a hint of turquoise)!!  Enjoy!

Look at that precious baby!!  She is two months old and she was perfect during the shower.  And of course NO ONE wanted to hold her!!  Teehee!

This is Hannah, Traci's daughter, and all around GREAT girl!!  She was very helpful prepping for the party, and I'm so glad I got a pic of her fancy pose!! ;)

This gift was from Ashlee's momma....a handmade bedskirt!!!  It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!  It is a perfect addition to Camille's vintage nursery!!

Some co-workers bought Ash this sweet needlepoint and some vintage books!!  So perfect!

What We Do When School is Closed!

Just a peek at what we do when school is out for snow..ice..bad roads..cold weather!!  Haha!

Do lots of laundry...

Make a huge tent (at this point we had already taken a side down to have a chair to sit in and color at the table)...

Do research papers AND clean our room...

Watch the OLYMPICS!!!!! We also watched High School Musical 2 and Hairspray...I LOVE that my kiddos can sing all the songs to these movies!!  I feel I'm raising them well...hahahaha!!!  Right Mom?

Fill out LOTS of valentine cards...

Put together the new vacuum cleaner...

with help...

And finally make a YUMMY (Weight Watchers friendly) dinner!!  

And most wonderfully, I have discovered that Finn and the pickiest littlest one like Canadian bacon!!  Whoohoo!!

Where I'm At....

I'm GROWING and shrinking.  An oxymoron, but I promise it's true!

I'm growing in Christ, in patience, in knowledge of the Bible.  I'm growing and learning how to relinquish control.  I'm growing as I trust in the Lord. I'm growing in my level of self-control.  All of this growing couldn't be possible without the Lord.  He is my guide, counselor and encourager.

I'm shrinking in fear, in worry, in weight...and again, without the Lord I couldn't accomplish any of this!!  He is amazing and I am so thankful for His LOVE!!

I will share my weight loss journey on another post...but just felt the need to give God some GLORY this morning!!  Just plain and simple....:)

I can't believe you are 12!!

I can't believe you are almost taller than me (like seriously...we only differ by maybe a centimeter...or I might be in denial that you are actually taller)!

I can't believe you are entering teenagedom...you are definitely a TWEEN.  No doubt...for sure!  

I love you son.  I am so proud of you and that incredibly giving, sweet heart of yours!  You have grown so much over the past year..physically and emotionally.  I pray you will continue to grow spiritually over the next year.  I want you to be an influence on those around you.  This world is FULL of the wrong influences, and I want you to shine bright as a light for Christ.  

I love you Bubba, and now I must ask you to stop.GrOwInG!  Please!! ;)  

Thank you for being so helpful around the house, for wanting to play trombone/french horn duets with me, for still wanting hugs and kisses at bedtime, for wanting to be a part of our youth group, for stepping outside your comfort zones, for loving the Lord.

Oh my word...I love this little cutie!  And I love her Gaga for fixing this outfit...she had outgrown it, but Gaga to the rescue!!

Again...I am doing an Instagram challenge so they will be numbered!  Day 7: This... is what I did during preschool inservice!!

Thursday while Bres was at gymnastics, I hung out with Ashlee!  She had just received a HUGE box of clothes for her kids from her MIL.  It was so much fun watching her go through all the beautiful baby clothes!  

After gym I treated the kids to Taco Bell, because sometimes a Momma is just too tired to cook!!

B was WORN out from gymnastics...I love a sleeping baby, even if they are 5..and drooling!!

Friday...SO COLD!!!  We were waiting on the bus, which is late just about every single day!

Day 10: Favorite.  Since I can't really pick a favorite child ;) I went with my favorite hobby!!

Saturday Owen and I visited Joey at his new job!  The sign by the road says, "No haggling!  No vultures!"  Hahaha!!  

Day 11: Work...me acting like a goofball at school!!  I'm totally respected around there ya know!! Ha!

Saturday afternoon Owen and I went down to Ashlee's house to play...Owen loves their "Gatorade"!!  

We've been working on Owen's eating habits.  I will admit he has gone to bed hungry (from pure stubbornness I tell ya)!!  But this night he ate ham...a little, but it was a victory!!

Sunday and Day 12: Shoes!

B and I attended a birthday party...we first hit up Target for a gift and some funny face selfies!!

Lonnnnnng week.  Glad we had fun...glad it's over!!  :)
