I honestly photographed his room 2 times, and I am not happy with any of the pics. He has one window and it doesn't let in much natural light. Please bear with me on the pics. I LOVE HOW THIS ROOM TURNED OUT, I just wish the pictures did it justice!! Anywho...here they are friends!!
Entering his room...these were the first things I bought for this room...I wanted to go for a sports theme, but not too primary or too babyish....more of a vintage look!
The boy loves him some books...this pic is taken AFTER I purged about 20!!
I found this hoop at my parents house...it is PERFECT for his room!!
Some of his YMCA trophies!!
And now the start of the chalkboard wall!!! My favorite parts of this room??? The gray wall color and the chalkboard wall...and the pallet trim!!
The chalkboard took two coats...trust me, if you do a wall like this...it will take two coats!! We decided last minute to cut up half the pallets we had in the garage to make a trim around the wall.
This desk is from IKEA...my dad bought it a few years ago. He might have lost the instructions. It might've taken us forEVER to figure out how to put it together..but whatever!! ;)
And this is the reason I wanted to use this particular desk. It folds down to leave more room in the room! My parents had this rusted metal stool on their porch...LURVE it!
These curtains are from Hob Lob {best store ever}. I'm so glad that I went with this color....originally I was going to get the gray chevron, but the green is so pretty!
This is a better view of his bed...well, it shows the color of his bed better! It was a very irritating process...I bought a sage green...painted almost everything before deciding it was too babyish. Then I bought this great orange and painted over the green. I liked how that looked...sanding the orange so a little green shows through. I finished painting everything green then orange and I am thrilled with the way it turned out!
My mom and dad took me to Canton for my birthday in April. On my "to-get" list were all the letters to complete Aidan's name. I was beyond thrilled to end up finding them all!!! You can see all the loot I got HERE! I made the Longhorn art with an old t-shirt and an old canvas. I simply cut the shirt to fit the canvas, stapled it on and voila! I really like it, and plan on making another one soon!
My second set of purchases were these amazing vintage (mostly) pennants!! It's just sad that we don't have a Texas Rangers one yet, but we are always keeping our eyes out for more to add to the wall!!
I hope you enjoyed the little tour of my biggest boys room!! Have a great Monday!
What an awesome job you (both) did! I'll bet he loves it!
