Yes, that is what Aidan's pediatrician told me many years ago....as she was measuring his head and charting it, she looked straight at me and commented on my large melon!! I was floored. I couldn't believe the gall...I mean she hadn't even seen the hubs head yet...maybe Aidan got it from him...but of course not...it was/is me...I am the culprit. And apparently the tradition continues!
I had my 28 week appointment today. It was a typical check up, but we were checking on Owen's kidneys. Weeks ago one kidney was larger than the other....then a few weeks later they were even in size, but both were full of "liquid". So I was very anxious for this appt. She was totally unable to detect anything wrong with the kidneys!! Yay! However...another large MELON! Yep, Owen's head is 2 WEEKS AHEAD! His tummy is 1 week ahead. So what does that mean?? Not sure actually. I am scheduled to go back in 2 weeks and 2 weeks after that. Soooo, I guess I am now on a 2 week schedule...which usually doesn't start till 32 weeks. Wow, that all sounds confusing!
All that to say he was adorable on the u/s, moving and kicking AND he is finally head down...he has been transverse this entire time, but finally he is in the right position!! Whoohoo!!

Family Foto Shoot
Close encounters of the FOURTH kind...
We have finally come up with a name that we agree on for our FOURTH and FINAL, repeat FINAL child! We of course stuck with the Irish theme....there were many that we liked, but none we just absolutely loved and agreed on. Unfortunately we are still struggling with the middle name....why does it have to be so perfect, why does it have to have the right amount of syllables, why. WhY. WHY??? Hahaha!! Aidan...6 syllables, Finley...6, Breslyn...5. I know...could I be slightly OCD, I dunno, don't wanna know...so don't tell me!
We will bestow the first name of OWEN onto our fourth born child. I love it....and I'm pretty sure it will fit him just right.
Back to the drawing board on the middle name....fortunately the last name is already chosen..teehee!!!

Just another day in paradise...
well not quite! It's been a one of those "weeks"! We have had some major and minor surprises come up in our household, and have seen God work through them...maybe not the way we would choose, but nonetheless He has had his hand in it all.
A short list of our most recent woes:
*I lost my job.
*Our dryer stopped working.
*I had to have a root canal...w/out gas or sleepy meds.
*Joey was questioned at work about his personal finances...way inappropriate.
*I was questioned about my loyalty to my church by someone on the church staff.
*Continuous financial struggles.
*Deciding our level of commitment to our church family.
It has not been an easy 10 days. I fear repeating that list back to myself because in my head I know there are more things I could add to it!! We have however, had blessings each day that I wish I would notice more than I do. We have given the rugrat a name, our children haven't tried to kill each other lately, Joey put together B's kitchen..and it is adorable AND she loves it, we are healthy, our family has been very generous helping us out through the financial struggles, the dryer was able to be fixed, the root canal went fairly easy with only a few days of pain, Joey and I have clung to each other for support during our "encounters" this week, and I have a scrap weekend away coming up that truly makes me smile!
I am very aware that we could go months before this kind of drama occurs again, but it is difficult going through it anyways. I will choose to focus on the happiness in my house, the peace, the understanding, the love. Thank you Lord for listening to my prayers, praises and cries. "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
