A New Year, A New You

Yep....I stole that title from some commercial...I really can't remember which one.  Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Progressive {prolly not!}...moving on.

I have a love/hate relationship with the new year.  I am ABUNDANTLY excited about starting my  life FRESH....but I get mad at myself for thinking I have to wait for January 1st to have new goals for myself.  And maybe I get a tad mad at myself for not having followed through on the goals I set the previous year! Ha!

But this year I just want to focus on the greatness of NEW.

This year I want to make goals that are attainable...maybe not even specific.  I don't want to lose 50lbs...well of course I do, but instead I'm focusing on turning 35 and being overweight.  Or the fact that we are going to the beach this year...yowza...a bathing suit!!  Haha.  So I am going to focus on eating better...and then whatever happens happens.

My baby girl will start Kinder in the fall....most of the time when this subject comes up with other people I say I can't talk about it.  I cry often thinking about it.  My baby girl...my ONLY girl will be leaving.  And she's EXCITED about it too!!  She can't wait to go to school with "the brothers"!  I know I cannot stop time...or even slow it down, so I want to make the most of the few short months I have left with her.  I want to do special things with her.  I don't want August to come and the tears I shed be over regret for not making every second count.

I love my home.  And I love this quote:

We are blessed to have just enough room for all six of us...but we could always use more room.  I would LOVE, yes love to be able to go through my house and get rid of all the "extras" that makes our home look and FEEL cluttered.  I might have had this goal this past summer....and I might have done some de-cluttering...but probably not enough to make me feel accomplished!!  I am scouring Pinterest to find some ideas on cleaning up clearing out my home.  I want simplicity...in fact I crave it.

I have some other things I want to accomplish, but I think I should keep some mystery to this little ole blog!! ;)

I pray that this year is full of joy, peace, happiness and love for you and your family.

Tired of Snot

Yes...tired of snot.  Okay, more like I HATE snot and it IS of the Devil {right up there with mosquitos}!!

Owen and Breslyn have been DROWNING in snot for DAYSSSS!!

I am also tired of cleaning up throw up.  Gah.

I don't do throw up.  Joey cleans that up.  I will take blood, poop, pee...but I reahehely dislike cleaning up throw up. :(  As I type B is sitting in my head throwing up in a trash can...and on her shirt....and on my bed.....ugh.

I love my babies, and actually LOVE that my kiddos have wanted to snuggle up with me this week.  But this has been a difficult week...trying to get last minute gifts, working, and cleaning my NASTY house.  Some of those things couldn't have happened without help from my Grandma, mom and dad!!  Thanks so much you guys for the help!!  I love you!

Oh and I am VERY thankful that what my kids have ISN'T contagious.  I mean we all have snot, but we aren't all running fevers and throwing up. Ha!  Yay!!

Enough griping.

I am gonna clean my kitchen now....pray I am able to find my countertop!!  No really.... Ha!

Christmas Home Tour 2012

Welcome to my Christmas Home Tour 2012!!  That really makes it sound fancy, huh?!  Ha!  Believe me, our house is not fancy, but it has been "Christmasfied"{back around mid-November!}!!  There are lots of pics, so sit down, get comfortable, maybe get a warm cup-a-joe and enjoy!!

I took pics of everything during the day, and then a few at night to show off the lovely lights!!  This year I decided to add in burlap...OMGoodness, next year I think EVERYTHING will be "burlapified"!!  I love it!!  Let's start outside and work our way in, shall we?! :)

Glimpse of Christmas Decor

When we got out our Christmas decor weeks ago the kids couldn't wait to decorate their own trees!  I love that my kiddos have their own personal trees (except for Owen and Finn...they share) :}.  Enjoy!

{love her precious little hands...so carefully putting her ornaments on her sparkly pink tree.}

{Grandma was over to help this particular day...just love her!!}

{Owen getting in on the action.}

{Finn's turn!}

{Big brother helping B place the ornaments high in the tree where she can't reach!!}

Aidan's tree is too shabby to show on here!!  Haha!  Not really...but half the lights are out and it is not a pretty sight!  Maybe next year!

I am planning on sharing my whole Christmas home tour tonight (possibly tomorrow)!!
