Wizard of Oz Crafts

Well, I guess the crafty bug bit me, because I've completed numerous projects in the last few days....well, technically the last week {but I was pretty sick for a few of those days so they don't count!!}!!  I will break up my projects into different posts so this post isn't too long and boring!!  Teehee!!

First up...This week is Breslyn's birthday party.  Originally my plans were to have ALL the little girls in her class over for a BIG Wizard of Oz party.  We were all going to play our roles and dress up like we did for Halloween...here is a little reminder of that:

We were going to have a BIG breakfast party...donuts, pancakes, waffles...the works!!  But then...yes, then the panic set in.  I was going to have LOTS of little girls in my house who would more likely than not be accompanied by LOTS of mommies.  Nope...not ready for that yet.  So...I struggled for a while for what to do instead.  But my bff came to the rescue (as always) and suggested a "Lions, Tigers and Bears. Oh My" party at the zoo!!  Yep...so perfect!!

So now we are doing that this coming Wednesday.  We only invited 4 little girls and that is just perfect!!  So I came up with these as little party favors:

 {you don't see the dust...no, you don't!!}

I made little blue gingham rosette pins, backed with red burlap.  Then I added an initial button for each little girl {all the materials were bought from Hob Lob}.  I'm pretty happy with how they turned out, and I hope the girls love them!!

Continuing with the theme....I made each of the girls headbands for our journey through the zoo!!  I bought "fur" and hot glued it to headbands...presenting two bears, a lion and a tiger!

 {seriously...if I say there is no dust, there is no dust}

And just for good measure I will leave you with a picture of her invitations that I made!!  I am happy with the way they turned out!!  We are excited for her big day...but can't believe she will soon be 5!!!

We're off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz.....
